Interview with:

Read what these guys said about their hard life...

All questions were answered by the drummer-Josh.

Q: Who draw your album covers(i think they are great)?
A: They were done by different people. You Can Feel The Love In This Room was done by local comic artist Jason Lutes. Laugh While You Can Monkey Boy was done by Denny's sister Jill and Chef Boyrudum was done by Los Angeles artist Pablo Griggs. The new album's cover is being done by Gas Huffer drummer, Joe Newton.

Q: Did you ever feel need for fourth member of Sicko?

A: No, not really, except maybe in the studio. But, through a little recording magic we usually end up with about 8 people in the band. It's hard enough to get three people to practice on a regular basis. I can't imagine being in one of those bands like the Grateful Dead with 15 people in the band. How would you get everyone's life to coordinate?

Q:What is your attitude about MTV?
A: MTV is the product of big businesses trying to make a bunch of money. Businesses have figured out how to make virtually anything they want hugely sucessful and MTV is one vehicle they use to do it. With enough air play they can get 14 year olds to buy anything they want. And if you don't like that, you need to look at the root cause which is how we've decided to organize ourselves both politically and economically.

Q: Where do you like to play gigs(can we expect you on some tour in or nearby Yugoslavia?)?
A:We mostly play at small clubs and mostly in Seattle. Sicko has never really been about trying to make it to the majors...this band has always been sort of an involved hobby. Consequently, we all have had full time jobs for most of the band's history. In order to go on big tours, it's usually meant quitting our jobs and moving out of where we live. None of us are too into doing that again. If we got the chance to tour Europe we might do that.

Q: What bands do you like to cooperate with?
I don't think cooperate is the right word...you probably mean what bands do we like to play and hang out with. If that's the question, then the answer is probably The Mr. T Experience, The Model Rockets and the Fastbacks.

Q: Do you read zines? What is you favourite?
A:The only zine I read is a local one...probably the best local one...called 10 Things Jesus Wants You To Know. It's done by our friend Dan Halligan. I think one of the first ever Sicko interviews was in 10 Things #2.
Q: Do you have any videos?
A: Yeah, we actually made one for Escalator. We also did a tour video which was basically me with a video camera and two VCR's. It's pretty low-budget and amateur, but it turned out kind of funny. We never ended up selling many of them.

Q: When did yo have least people on your gig?(and most?)
A: Least was probably 4 (the other band) in Bellingham, Washington and the most was probably 1200 in San Diego, California, although we were an opening band.

Q:Do you still listen heavy-metal?
A:All the time. Van Halen is still a favorite of mine. We're going to see Ratt at a local club on October 11th.

Q: Make question and answer it !
A:What's your next album title and when will it be out? The name is You Are Not The Boss of Me and it will be out in October...thanks for asking!

Q:Tell us something funny for the end?!?
A:When we were playing in Vancouver, BC (Canada) some guy jumped up on the stage and pulled his pants down, and started pouring beer down the crack of his ass and then stuck the beer bottle in his ass. True story.
