Interview with...

Here are legendary P.T.T.B.!!!If you haven't heard of them,go get killed!Or even better, read this...

Made on 15. May 1997. with Peter

Q:What is the current line up and how did you pick them up?
A:The current line-up is: Peter -vocals,Del-guitars,Rum-bass,A.D.-drums.Trapper and Ogs left in 1995 and it was no problem getting A.D. and Rum to join as they are old friends of ours from Brignton.
Q:What are PTTB doing (or what are they planing to do)?
A:So far this year we have toured extensively playing in:U.K.,Germany,France,Switzerland,Slovakia, and Japan. Now we need some time to write some new songs and record a new album. We also have miles of video footage so we are currently editing that with a view to releasing a new compilation video later in this year.We will ofcourse be playing the european festivals this summer. We are definately playing at "Holidays In The Sun" on July 13 at Morecombe,England and have four unconfirmed festivals in Spain,Italy and Germany lined-up.As soon as they are confirmed they'll be on our website.
Q:What is your favorite PTTB album or single and why?I personaly like "cringe" and "matting sounds..",what do you think about those albums?
A: My favourite Test-Tubes tracks are :"Louise Wouldn't Like It","Spirit Of Keith Moon","Supermodels" and "U Bore Me".I suppose my favourite album is "Supermodels".I think "Cringe" was too rushed and it sounds it.Also there are only about five good songs on it."Mating Sounds" is great.
Q:Whose idea was to do covers on "Shit Factory"?
A:"Shit Factory" was Spv's idea(the record compaany) and I really like it especially as no-one else seems to have got the joke!
Q:Would you do "Shit Factory 2",cause I think now is the right moment?
A:We are currently considering a similar project.
Q:How many people come on your gigs, and what was your biggest gig?
A:This changes at every show. For example take our last two gigs.On may 3rd we played in France to about 2500-3000 people2 days llater(may 5th) we played in Brighton to perhaps 150 people.Biggest gig was probably the Olympic auditorium in Los Angeles in 1983 about 6000 people turned up.
Q:Do you cooperate with the other bands?Who do you like to cooperate with?
A:We tend to be lazy bastards and it's enough for us to couoperate with each other let alone other bands! We share the same managment with "The 3'o clock Heroes" from Frankfurt so we see them a lot.We are also long time friends with G.B.H.
Q:On "Supermodels" most reapeated word is drug. Why?Did you become junkies?
A:We like to take drugs when we want although we do not condone people taking drugs. The message is that we fucking hate being told what to do by anyone and if we want to take drugs then we will, regardless of what anyone else says or thinks. The most important thing is freedom of personal choice.Just because I occasionaly take drugs it does not mean I'm a junkie and anyone who thinks so is fucking stupid and more importantly missing the point.
Q:Do you (I mean PTTB) have any other jobs except playing in the band?
A:I have to commute every day as I work in London zoo.I am in chargee of the polar bears. It is a very rewarding job.Del is a freelance computer games designer.A.D. is a professional drummer (he is in about four bands at the moment) and he also teaches drumming.Rum is a stock car driver.
Q:For whome did you vote few days ago?
A:Labour of course.
Q:Since I don't have lyrics for your albums,what is VDU(head) and TQGGB?
A:V.D.U. stands for visual display unit so the song is about someone who sits staring at a screen all day.TQGGB stands for The Queen Gives Good Blowjobs.
Q:What do you listen these days?
A:Sound.
Q:Message or something wise for the end.
A:It's my birthday soon (July 17) send me lots of presents and cards!Oh by the way I collect stickers(any kind) so send me some if you can.
