scab-fanzine:
usual one. and tell me what were the first punk records you've
heard?
lousy:
we are lousy out of chemnitz, Germany. the line-up is: Fabian
(vocals), Rodney (bass), Markus (guitar) and Ronny (drums). reviews on
our
releases tell something about lousy doing a sort of "aggro-punk":
thats it!
aggression of hardcore-music and the spirit of punkrock are combined in
the
crap we're doing. so far we released one 7inch (bullet on the rox 1999,
bandworm records) and two albums (best wishes 2001, the Babylon district
2003, knock out records). the fist punk records we listened to: Markus
(spermbirds: something to prove), Rodney (dead Kennedys: fresh fruit for
rotting vegetables), Fabian (pankow: kille kille pankow), Ronny (sheer
terror: just can't hate enough).

scab-fanzine: I guess you're all eastern Germans. after 14 years of
unification, what are good sides and what are bad sides of it? do you
remember your childhood in "socialism"?
lousy: as a child in German democratic republic it was quite
"easy". we all
used to do sports 5 times a week, cigarettes and alcohol were pretty
cheap
and we didn't really recognize the whole plight and political crap that
was
going on in these days. good sides of the unification are that we have
now a
free speech, a democratic election, no political persecution and there's
no
nepotism kind of economy anymore but on the other side (the bad side
perhaps) everyone has to work hard and has to know how he gets his back
on
the wall d'you know? but fuck anyone who's complaining about the
unification
and that say this unification wasn't necessary...we wouldn't even have
the
band lousy if there would be still g.d.r.!
scab-fanzine: you are now on knock-out records, do feel any progress
and are
you satisfied with them?
lousy: sure we are quite satisfied to work with mosh and knock out
records.
he's got a huge distribution and does good promotional work for every
band
on his label. mark and Bandworm records did a good job as well! but like
you
know it's also quite important for a band to promote itself by playing
live
and perhaps this is the real progress.
![](on_66_gross.jpg)
scab-fanzine: tell me more about your punk activities aside from
lousy...
lousy: Markus and Ronny play in bands beside lousy (Markus hits the
drums
for "freezer" and Ronny kicks the drums for "borstels
rache"). Rodney and
Fabian did a job in a venue in chemnitz called "zoom" where
also
international punk bands played live. Ronny is also doing some
promotional
stuff and layouting flyers for some punkrock-acts!
scab-fanzine: German scene looks like most developed in Europe, how
do you
see it and what are the bigger problems if there are any?
lousy: we can't really tell you if Germany has the most developed in
Europe,
but we are sure that in other countries the scene is as huge as here as
well! we could mention you about 10 punk bands and 5 venues just in our
hometown (250.000 inhabitants). people from other German cities can tell
you
the same. if you look on this obviously you think it's kind of cool and
you
can choose between good and bad bands. but if you really take an eye on
it
you see the big problem: sometimes there are 3 punkrock-concerts in 3
different venues in just 1 town (sometimes 3 times a week) and this make
people over saturated. sometimes; good bands (also international bands)
giving
their best in front of an audience filled with just 5 listeners, d'you
understand?
scab-fanzine: were you ever disappointed badly with someone from the
punkrock scene. (someone you liked before you finally met him/played
with)
lousy: sure there are a lot of pompous asses around in the so called
scene.
we don't really like to grumble or spread gossip behind someone's back.
everyone should form his own opinion about the faggots around. but we
can
tell you that people that seem to be very committed for this very first
moment are the biggest liars...but it's good that "these"
people are around
in the scene so we got enough material for new lyrics, haha!

scab-fanzine: what do you think about this new social movement for
peace in
Germany. how are things now, your view on Iraq... (my friend says:
"world's
fucked up totally: most famous rapper is white, best golf player is
black
and the Germans don't wanna go to the war!")
lousy: hehehe good comparison! during the federal election last
year,
chancellor Schroeder said that there will be no German war together with
bush against Iraq if he keeps the political strength. he kept the
strength
and citizens elected him and his red-/green government again. so this is
perhaps one reason! but many of the German citizens (including
ourselves)
appreciate the acting of our government while the war on Iraq! it's true
that Hussein and his mob is a bunch of fuckin' criminals. but he's been
doing this terrible damnation for years now and the whole world has
known
about it, so why they first act now? there are bigger dangers and
threats on
the usa like for example north Korea. we like to add that it's not
really
true, this war happening without Germany--->Germany (Red Cross and
other
benefit organizations) "clean" Iraq after American soldiers
did their
"job", I guess you know what I mean. this costs of a lot of
money that also
we citizens have to pay!
scab-fanzine: tell us some weird story from your tours/gigs. what was
your
least/most attended gig?
lousy: a weird story perhaps is that there was once a show we didn't
play
but got all the money, haha. we should play at 1 o'clock a.m. but before
we
started the mayor showed up and cut the electricity because the noise
was
too much for his village! the least attended gig was together with a
metal-grindcore-band back in 1997 (10 visitors) and the most attended
one
was "with full force / Germany" or "pepsi sziget /
Hungary" (20.000 to
100.000 visitors).
![](on_97_gross.jpg)
scab-fanzine: what would you like to achieve with the band and plans
for
future (near and distant)...
lousy: we are quite satisfied how things work now (album, live-gigs
etc) and
it's ok for us to do 2 shows a month. perhaps there is a possibility for
lousy to do a bigger tour in fall 2003. but for the moment we are
working on
new songs!
scab-fanzine: message, joke, fart...?
lousy: thanx for the interview. good luck with your band red union
and the
local scene in Serbia! keep your fingers crossed for the "lousy
bambini
kickers" of "lok chemnitz football-team": we hope they'll
win the season.
