S.C.A.B.Interview: Dascendents/All

Q: What do you think about attacks for punk-rock sell-out?
A: I don't like being attacked. My band had always made music that we like even when no one liked us. We will keep doing what we want and if people do like us then good , but it doesn't mean that we sold out.

Q: Why Milo wears so thick glasses;how bad his sight is?

A: He wears think glasses because he can't see. He has bad eyesight.

Q:What are your impressions from Budapest?My friend told me you were great!
A: We weren't there very long so it's hard to say. the people were very friendly and helpful. We had an interpreter with us the whole day helping us out. We played first that day and there weren't very many people there at first but after we started, more people came to see us. It was cool.

Q: What's next-ALL or DESCENDENTS LP?
A: We are recording our new ALL(with Chad) album right now. It'll be out early febuary.

Q: Except lead-singer,what would you name as a biggest difference betwen All and Descendents?
A: ALL is very musically diverse. We experiment alot with sounds and ways of playing. The music is more serious. Descendents can tend to be more playful.

Q: Do you make more money now when you are on Epitaph?
A:No, not really. They do a better job with promoting our music then Interscope did.

Q: Who do you vote for - Dole or Clinton?Are you interested in politics?
A: We believe in the all-o-gistics. That's about as politaical as we get.

Q: You were "idols" for allot of bands!What are your influences?
A: We like Generation x, Black Flag, Black Sabbath, The Last.

Q: You used to move allot;where do you live now?
A: We moved from Los Angeles to a really small town called Brookefield. It's in the middle of Missouri. We stayed there for about 4 years and then moved to Fort Collins, Colorado. We all really like it here. There's a lot of stuff to do and it's not a little city but it isn't huge either. it seems to be just right. We moved here and built our own recording studio, the blasting room.

Q: What label did you pick for your new All LP?
A: ALL is on Epitaph.

Q: Do you read zines?What is your fave one?
A: I don't read to many zines but I have a friend in England that has a zine and he sends it to me, it's called "Fear and Lothing". It's usually pretty good.

Q: Since you (as All) have been to Yugoslavia(8 years ago),what do you think first when somebody mention YU?
A: It's cool, we have alot of fans from Yugoslavia, they write all the time. We are hoping to go there on tour next year.
